Conceptualisation build and iteration of a health app for obesity treatment
Our core challenge with Prospero Health App was to improve obesity treatment support for Impact Obesity. From a product and design perspective, the goal was to improve the patient experience during bariatric treatment by developing an effective and user-friendly symptom management app. The critical hurdle was to rapidly launch a valuable product while maintaining a strong focus on user needs within the complex healthcare landscape. We needed to ensure the app was not only functional but also deeply empathetic to the patient journey.
We adopted an iterative, customer-first approach to building the Prospero Health App. Our philosophy guided every decision, ensuring the product directly addressed patient needs. We fostered cross-functional collaboration within the product team, involving expert nutritionists to inform the app's functionality and content. This ensured a well-rounded and clinically relevant product. We rigorously tested and validated our hypotheses through continuous user feedback and data analysis, ensuring we were building the right solution. This continuous feedback loop was crucial for a superior user experience. We also defined and developed a compelling brand and customer experience, aiming for high user satisfaction.
Prospero Health App launched its first version in just 1.5 months, demonstrating a rapid go-to-market strategy. This swift delivery accelerated Prospero's market entry. The app has been continuously iterated on based on user feedback, resulting in a robust application with an excellent user experience and positive feedback from both patients and the clinical community. The app is currently undergoing clinical trials, demonstrating its potential impact on patient care and supporting Prospero in achieving real-world clinical validation.
