As product and design director at Everest I've been lucky enought to have the opportunity to drive innovation, experimentation and transformation initiatives for some of the biggest brands in Australia. Some of the clients I've worked for:
When tackling innovation projects, my focus is always on understanding the bigger picture first.
This starts with a discovery phase where we dive deep to uncover unmet customer needs, keep a close eye on emerging market trends, and explore the exciting possibilities that new technologies offer. It's at this intersection that impacful ideas live.
From there, we move into ideation, a collaborative space where diverse perspectives come together to generate a wealth of potential solutions. It’s about building on each other's thoughts and exploring different angles.
The next step is prioritisation. With a range of ideas on the table, we carefully evaluate them based on their potential to address those initial customer needs, their relevance in the evolving market, and their feasibility given the available technology. This ensures we focus our energy on the most promising avenues.
Validation is key to de-risking the innovation process. We test and refine our ideas, gathering feedback to ensure we're on the right track and making solutions that truly resonate and deliver value.
Finally, for the ideas that prove their merit through validation, we move into incubation. This is where we nurture and develop these concepts, working towards their successful implementation and integration.
Throughout this entire process a collaborative partnership with clients and team members is key. It’s about shared understanding and a collective commitment to creating impactful solutions.
I'm passionate about embedding a culture of experimentation, not just within product teams, but across organisations. It's about shifting the mindset from "knowing" to "learning together." I guide teams in understanding that product development is inherently uncertain, and the most successful path forward is learning.
This starts with collaborative hypothesis definition. By bringing these assumptions to the surface as a team, we can then prioritise which ones are riskiest and warrant immediate testing.
I equip teams with the tools and frameworks for running effective experiments integrated with their roadmps, tied to clear goals, ensuring that our learning directly informs strategic decisions.
A significant part of this process is championing a culture focus in deliver value and not features, where learnings are valuable and incorporated into the product throught continous discovery.
A culture of experimentation means to enable teams to take calculated risks, analyze both successes and failures, and share their findings openly. My goal is to empower teams to embrace an iterative and value foucus approach to product delivery, driven by data and a relentless pursuit of value.
I'm deeply committed to guiding clients through transformative journeys, whether it's reshaping products, services, processes, or even the organization itself, to achieve lasting success and future-proof their operations. Magic (aka, true transformation) doesn't happen in isolation. It requires a holistic understanding of the interplay between the Customers needs, the business reality and tech enablers.
My passion lies in facilitating this convergence, helping organisations navigate complexity and unlock their full potential for success in an ever-evolving market. This involves a collaborative process, working closely with teams to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement solutions that are both effective and sustainable.
